Morning Services

1st Sunday

10:00 Family Service at St Denys'

This is a service for everyone but has an emphasis on being child-friendly.  We hope that parents can bring young children and find the service not too long (45 minutes).

Each service is prepared by the Family Service Planning Group who create an act of worship that is relevant for both young and old.  Music is both modern and traditional and talks generally use visual aids to help teach the stories of Jesus and or aspects of the Christian life.

Our puppet team, Puppet Tree, regularly feature in this service and produce sketches to a high standard.

11:15 Parish Communion at St Mark's (x8 per annum)

Parish Communion with Sunday Club (Sunday School) with traditional hymns .

OR 11:15 Matins (BCP) at St Mark's (x4 per annum)

Matins Service.  A Non-Communion Service act of morning worship following the traditions of the Book of Common Prayer.

2nd Sunday

10:00 Parish Communion at St Denys' - This service will be LIVE STREAMED

This is the main Sunday service and follows the service of Holy Communion from Common Worship.  It has traditional hymns.  The music is led by the church choir and accompanied by the organ.  The Sermons are Bible based and last around 10-15 minutes.  Intercessions and readings are undertaken by members of the congregation.

Currently there is no regular Junior Church but one can be arranged on prior notice. There are always toys available in church for very young children.

3rd Sunday

10:00 Morning Praise at St Denys' - This service will be LIVE STREAMED

People of all ages are welcome to this more informal service.  It is a shortened service lasting just under an hour and is a 'service of the word' meaning there is no communion.

Children are welcome to the service so they can experience and be part of an adult act of worship. There are toys to play for little ones and we are currently working on improving the vestry to create a welcoming creche.

11:15 Family Service at St Mark's

A family friendly service for all ages with a short visual talk.
