An important part of our ministry is to help found other puppet teams. Members of Puppet Tree TM are able to run workshops to provide training in puppeteering and advice on setting up a team and acquiring equipment.
Workshops can be tailor-made to suit the requirements of individual churches. We have run workshops of varying lengths ranging from 1½hrs in a person’s home to an all day event involving two 3hr sessions in a church for groups drawn from a number of churches in the Thanet area.
A typical workshop would include
- Demonstrations
- Learning techniques for handling a puppet
- Hands on experience
- Working within a theatre
- Advice on making props
We do not charge a fee but are happy to receive donations towards the work of Puppet Tree. We would expect to be reimbursed for travel expenses.
