Morning Worship

10.00am Family Service   1st Sunday

This is a service for everyone but has an emphasis on being child-friendly.  We hope that parents can bring young children and find the service not too long (35-40 minutes).

Each service is prepared by the Family Service Planning Group and their remit is to create an act of worship that is relevant for both young and old.  Music is both modern and traditional and talks generally use visual aids to help teach the stories of Jesus and or aspects of the Christian life.

Our puppet team, Puppetree, regularly feature in this service and produce sketches to a high standard.

10.00 am Parish Communion (Common Worship)   2nd & 4th Sunday

This is the main Sunday service and follows the service of Holy Communion from Common Worship.  It has traditional hymns and on the 4th Sunday a Psalm is sung.  The music is led by the church choir and accompanied by the organ.   The Sermons are Bible based and last around 10-15 minutes.  Intercessions and readings are undertaken by members of the congregation.

A “Junior Church” is run alongside this service in Rotherfield Memorial Institute.

10.00 am Parish Communion (Shorter)   3rd Sunday.

This service is for everyone and children are present.  It is a shortened service lasting just under an hour and follows the pattern of Common Worship.  Eucharistic Prayer H is used and the address with power point is around 5 minutes to allow the service to be kept to within the hour.

For those who would like prayer we offer prayer ministry during communion.

Whilst children are present the service content is not directly aimed at them and the hope is that they can experience and be part of an adult act of worship.

10.00am Morning Worship (Common Worship) 5th Sunday

This is a modern version of the traditional Matins service and provides the opportunity for a longer address.  The service uses traditional hymns and is accompanied by the organ.
