Junior Church

St Denys’ Junior Church is for children aged 3-11 years our aim is to spread the Christian message through fun! We have three classes ranging in ages from 3-5, 5-7 and 8-11 years. The teaching is done through art and craft, bible stories, puppets, song and role play activities. We follow the teachings of the scripture union books.

Junior church meets twice a month or three if it is a five week month. We meet in the Memorial Institute at 10am and return back to church so that the children can join in the Eucharist at the end of the service.

There are three leaders for the Junior Church, Judith Hardy, Ruth Burrell and James Rogers.

We have just started running a holiday club during the February half term week, this proved to be a great success and we are hoping to repeat this in years to come. Next years’ planning is already underway.
